The Steep Bank Recreation Facility includes both the Steep Bank Pool and Park/Playground.  The facility has reached the point in which it is due for several significant renovations in 2009.  Prior to the major renovation of one of Sienna’s larger recreation amenities, SPRAI would like to involve a task force of volunteers to help determine the best course of action for the future enjoyment of this community amenity.   In addition to the renovation needs, the office building and parking lot at this site have sold and SPRAI’s management office will be moving from this site at the end of 2008.  This Task Force will look at concepts related to both renovation and future site accessibility.

Residents interested in submitting a Task Force Volunteer Application may email Lisa Cox, SPRAI’s Recreation Director, at  or download an application by clicking here.  A total of 5-9 volunteers from the community will be appointed by the SPRAI Board to serve on this Task Force which will begin meeting in August.  SPRAI is seeking a combination of volunteers from the Steep Bank West Village, in addition to the other 4 villages of Sienna.  A series of 3-5 meetings will be conducted over the course of 2-3 months and the Task Force will work with SPRAI staff to present a recommendation to the Board in October.  Volunteers interested in serving should have the time and  ability to attend 3-5 evening meetings during the early fall months.   Deadline for application submittal is Monday, July 28.
